Chicago Occupational Therapy
Chicago Occupational Therapy was founded by Karen George to better serve children with multisensory needs. As a pediatric speech-language pathologist, Karen recognized that some of her clients also experienced challenges meeting key developmental milestones with motor skills and sensory processing. In order to provide these children with the highest level of care, she began to consider the possibility of adding top pediatric occupational therapists to the team.
The team of pediatric occupational therapists is dedicated to providing the highest level of care for children as they develop critical age-appropriate skills that are required to complete daily tasks. Chicago Occupational Therapy also offers services in a range of different settings to meet the unique needs of every child. The practice provides both in-home and clinic-based therapy, as well as services in CST Academy, the practice’s therapeutic preschool-style program.
The highly trained occupational therapists help children develop essential skill areas including, but not limited to, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, visual motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, self-care, daily living skills, and visual perceptual skills. The team also possesses exceptional experience with sensory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental delays, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and more.
