As the Chicago Speech Therapy practice continued to grow Karen George and her team recognized that many children could benefit from a therapeutic day program that addressed a wide range of key developmental skills, such as speech and language, social skills, behavior, motor skills, and more. This idea led to the beginning of CST Academy, a top therapeutic preschool-style in Chicago.

The program was carefully designed by the practice’s premier team of pediatric clinicians. In order to target all critical aspects of a child’s development, the program is guided by speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapists.

CST Academy also maintains individualized learning plans to meet the unique needs of every child in the program. This is made possible by an unprecedented student-to-teacher ratio of just three students per teacher. This structure allows for every child in the program to make great gains.

Each classroom is led by a fully licensed speech-language pathologist, and each assistant teacher holds at least a Bachelor’s degree. The full team has extensive training in a wide range of therapeutic techniques and employs the most effective methods. The combination of these factors guarantees progress for every child.
